After graduating from Exeter College of Art and Design with a BA (hons) Fine Art, Kate studied Illustration at Chelsea College of Art and from there went on to complete a Visual Communication MA at Birmingham City University. From 2000, she worked as a freelance Illustrator and Greeting Card Designer, whilst also also exhibiting her work in UK galleries.

From 2008-2016 she worked on a number of public arts projects, completing many commissions for Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Cromer Hospital, as well as the Dementia Care Unit, St. Julian’s Hospital, Norwich, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, Scarborough General Hospital and Nottingham Hospital Auditory Department.

Kate’s artwork has recently featured in David North’s much lauded new book, ‘Life Changing’ (2025 Mascot Media), which depicts a year in the life of the Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Cley and Salthouse marshes nature reserve.

Kate likes to spend as much time as possible creating her own work and her paintings are now held in private collections in the UK and abroad. She has a deep love of nature, literature and history and her work stems from her immediate  environment and imagination. She tries to make work that is poetic, decorative and meaningful.
